The Eastgate Dental Practice has been established for over thirty years, and is situated in the heart of the Basildon Town Centre. We are easily accessible by public transport and there are plenty of car parking facilities in the town.
Our main objective is to maintain your dental health with a healthy mouth to enhance your smile and encourage a general sense of well being. We are dedicated to preventative dentistry and have a dental hygienist alongside our dentists, to assist in maintaining your oral health and encouraging preventative techniques.

PRINCIPAL DENTIST – GDC 77379
Dr. Masoud Karimi, known as Roberto, qualified in Sweden and has been a General Dental Practitioner in Basildon since 2000. As the owner of Eastgate Dental for over 20 years, he specialises in cosmetic dentistry and tooth alignment. Renowned for his calming presence, he builds lasting relationships with patients. Outside of work, he enjoys family life and socialising with friends.
Dr Rahat O’Neill Iqbal
ASSOCIATE DENTIST – GDC 253787
Dr. Rahat joined Eastgate Dental in 2022. She is a skilled and compassionate Associate Dentist, dedicated to delivering high-quality dental care in a welcoming environment. With a strong commitment to patient comfort and clinical excellence, Dr.Rahat ensures every visit is a positive experience. She has 3 young children that keep her and her husband busy. Rahat enjoys baking cakes in her spare time.

Emily is our dedicated Practice Manager. She leads our team with passion and care, ensuring a seamless experience for both patients and staff while maintaining the highest standards of practice management. She has over 8 years of experience in Dental nursing, Orthodontic Nursing and Oral Surgery Nursing. Outside of work, Emily enjoys going to music events & festivals, she always makes the most out of her weekends!

Nithya is a dedicated Dental Hygienist at Eastgate Dental, passionate about promoting optimal oral health through preventive care and patient education. Known for her gentle approach and commitment to patient comfort, she strives to create a positive and informative experience during every visit. Outside of her professional life, Nithya enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two sons, who keep her busy and bring endless joy. She cherishes moments with friends and family.

Infection control
In our practice, everyone enjoys the benefits of a clean, safe and disinfected environment. Our team performs every procedure based on the rules and regulations of the Department of Health and the British Dental Association, also we are registered in the Care Quality Commission.
Here, we only use disinfectant hand soaps. All dentists and members wear gloves and face masks during any kind of treatment. All counters and surfaces are disinfected by chemicals on a daily basis and before every use, equipment will be sterilized. Materials are disposable and instruments for root canal therapy are used just once.
